Introduction to Resources
Individuals on the autism spectrum and their families often have many professionals and para-professionals in theirs lives.  The network of agencies, schools, and providers that oversee these services can quickly become overwhelming.  Each has it's own guidelines, rules about funding, and even organizational culture.  The challenge of keeping all these providers in sync with one another usually falls to the parents.  Moreover, since individuals with autism thrive on consistency, it's an important job.

The resource pages on this site are designed to give you, the parent, an overview of what you can expect from each type of provider.  There is a lot of information about ASD avaiable to families -- some of it excellent, some of it just confusing, and some of it inaccurate.  So along the way, we give you "guideposts" where you can learn more:  These are guidelines and websites that have been developed by the most well established organizations in the autism field.

In addition, each of the five resource areas includes a list of specific providers available to Upper Valley families.
